LEAH MCCOURT’S STORY
Leah is a professional MMA fighter with the Bellator. She is a World IMMAF and IBJJF Champion. She holds a Judo Black Belt and a BJJ Brown Belt and is aiming to become the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Champion.
Leah is from Saintfield, Northern Ireland. She lives in Belfast with her daughter Isabella and trains in the Straight Blast Gym with Owen Roddy in Dublin.
Leah made history when she became the first female fighter to headline a Bellator Europe event. Held in Dublin in February 2020, Leah headlined Bellator 240 and defeated Judith Ruis.
Leah’s Bellator record is 4 wins (1 TKO/KO, 1 Submission & 2 Decisions) and 1 loss. Committed to fulfilling her full potential and becoming a World Championship, Leah’s dedication to the sport is widely recognised. Leah is also a committed mother as she successfully combines MMA with raising Isabella.
